Interested in improving your law school application? Or unsure if law school is for you? Today I’ll be talking about extracurricular activities as a way to both discover more about the practice of law and enhance your application to law school. There are many ways to gain experience in the law and its methods before taking the LSAT, completing the time-consuming application to law school and studying for the three years of graduate education necessary to become a lawyer. Hey pre-law people! Today I’m here to talk about mastering one of the most stressful parts of the law school application, the Law School Admissions Test, or LSAT.  As you probably know, the LSAT is an important—possibly the most important—piece of your application. We’re going to talk about two new law students who improved their scores on the second attempt on the LSAT, determine what they did differently, and debunk some misbeliefs. Personal Statement Tips and Tricks

A law school personal statement is one of the most open-ended papers you will ever have to write.  The basic instructions are: tell me something about yourself, in English, and keep it to two double-spaced pages.  Ready?  Go. But for most students, the personal statement seems daunting precisely because it is so open-ended.  Where do you start?  The Back to School issue of PreLaw magazine (Vol. 15, No. 1) has a few short tips.
